Hi folks!
We're back from our fun-filled trip to Louisville! We had a rough beginning getting snowed in in Chicago, but, thankfully, the Dan's (Sr. and Jr.) came to our rescue and got us back to Louisville safe and sound. We had such a great time and introduced Sophie to so many of our friends and relatives . . . and, we took so many pictures that we had to split this post into three parts!

We stayed with the
Renda's (senior) for the first part of the week. Sophie had her first trip to Heine Brother's Coffee Shop with grandma and grandpa! She wasn't quite into the taste of coffee, but she did have fun playing with her grandparents!

The munchkin also got to meet some new people! She spent some quality time bonding with her Great-Grandma Kay! What fun it was to have 4 generations of the family in the same house! Kay also gave Sophie a beautiful porringer bowl and spoon for her Christening - so, we're all set when she starts eating solid foods in a few months!

Sophie also got to meet Bonnie! She's so excited that Bonnie and Will are going to have a cousin for her to play with in the summer! Mum and dad both know how much fun it is to have cousins around during the
holidays!

Later in the week, Sophie met daddy's great friends, Todd and
Nikke! The Bear had a good laugh trying to teach "Uncle" Todd how to play airplane baby :) In true Kentucky fashion, Todd and
Nikke gave Sophie her first bottle of bourbon. A personalized, gold wax-dipped bottle of Maker's due to be opened on her 21st birthday (if daddy doesn't "appropriate" it first:). The munchkin made her best effort to gnaw off the top right away, but daddy came to the rescue.

Towards the end of the week, I told Sophie that it was her Grandpa Bill's birthday! She, of course, wanted to crawl right over to say "Happy Birthday," and insisted that daddy teach her how. We practiced and practiced, but it wasn't quite time yet. So, mum and dad drove her over to say her birthday wishes :)
What a fun week we had!
Love to everyone at home!
Andrew
