Guess what? This weekend was the 2008 opening for the swan boats in the Boston Public Garden! We weren't about to let this beautiful weekend get by without taking Sophie for a swan boat ride. We even got a seat right in the back by the swan! Sophie loved the boat but even more she just loved being in the park with all the people! Our girl loves to run!!
Here's a random cute Sophie story for you. She knows now how to whisper and is doing it at semi-appropriate times. For instance tonight Andrew got home late and Sophie had been down but woke up because our neighbors were loud. Andrew went in to rock her for a minute and while he was rocking her, she lifted her head up, smiled hopefully and whispered very quietly, "Walk? Walk?" He said it was like she knew she had already asked me before bed and knew that it should be a secret if he let her :) Which he of course did not - good daddy! It's almost as good as the time a couple weeks ago when he went in when she was fussing and she flattened herself against the mattress and pretended to be asleep. When did we get a KID instead of a baby?

Mommy pointing out the swan boats before we took our ride. Sophie kept calling the swans ducks!

Mommy and Sophie on the boat -- an artistic shot by Daddy :)

Sophie enjoying Daddy and (shh!) another fig newton on the swan boat. It was a weekend of treats :)

A view of the bridge in the garden and the ducks. For those who haven't read a children's book in a while, the title of this post is inspired by 'Make Way for Ducklings' by Robert McCloskey. The Public Garden and the swan boats are featured in the book :)
Hopefully we'll have more posts soon with the beautiful spring weather inspiring us to get out and about! Oh and for anyone who hasn't seen the farm and Easter posts, scroll down! We've been busy!
