Hi folks!
We're back from out fantastic beach trip to the United Arab Emirates! We stayed in the beautiful Al Hamra Fort Resort in Ras Al Khaimah. The grounds were spectacular and the food was wonderful, but, of course, the mile-long private beach was the real highlight!
Our first priority after the long journey was to introduce Sophie to the beach. Her UV-protected beach tent came in handy with the hot sun. She was a bit confused at first about getting stuck in the shade, but quickly decided that the tent could be great fun with a little help from mom and dad!
After a while, we couldn't resist taking her out of the tent to play! She was very curious about this weird stuff called sand, but we assured her that it was fun to play with AND fun to walk on! The best part, though, was walking on the sand into the surf! She loved splashing around in the warm waters of the Persian Gulf!
After playing in the waves, our young lady had to lay out on her beach chair to dry off. A girl has to rest before taking lunch on the deck :)
Later, we came in from the beach and got dressed for dinner. Sophie hung out on her beach towel in the garden while mom and dad took turns taking showers. Mommy and Sophie posed for this picture just before we left!
