First vacation as a family of four!

We just returned from our first vacation as a family of four! We made the long road trip to Pawley's Island, SC with Mimi, Papa and Unca! It was a wonderful week although Jack was not a fan of the long car ride. Both kids got lots of quality time with the Albers clan. Sophie had a blast swimming every day for hours and building sand castles with Daddy. Jack and Mommy spent a lot of time indoors because it was incredibly hot and not really OK for him to go out. He did make it out one morning when it was cloudy and kind of cool, and our last evening for his first dip in the pool! Sophie had a great week and has started doing so many new things at once. She has started swimming on her own, no floaties and nobody holding her (see video, soon to be posted if Mommy gets her act together). She is starting to read simple words - really sounding them out, which is just amazing. Unca wrote "Go Cats" on her magna doodle pad and she read it out loud to him - he couldn't believe it. She is also writing almost all letters, not just her name. She really is growing up! Jack is doing great too - check out the new posting below for his latest stats :) It was a great week!
