A visit from Mimi and antics at home!

Sophie was very lucky this week to have a visit from her Mimi! Papa and Uncle Daniel were off in Scotland playing golf so Mimi had an excuse to come to Boston! We had a fun couple of days and got to show Mimi the Harvard campus and the pretty town of Newburyport. Sophie was as usual a great traveler and had so much fun cuddling with her Mimi.

We had fun visiting Newburyport - the second picture was at the end of the day and Sophie was a little tuckered out :)

Mimi and Sophie in front of the John Harvard statue -- Daddy's plan is for this photo to go with her admissions essay in about 16 years time!

Mommy and Sophie on the steps of the Harvard undergrad library. Sophie LOVED climbing the steps and really seemed to want to get inside that library! Too bad we didn't have Daddy's ID :)

As you can tell from these photos, Sophie has become a bit of a climber! She is in that stage now where she wants to climb ON or IN everything. As for the kitchen pictures, she very methodically took every piece of food out of the cupboard, took the plastic sink out and while we weren't watching climbed in onto the second shelf and somehow managed to get her head through the sink and sit up. We laughed ourselves silly when she called us in saying she was 'tuck!' She keeps trying but hasn't been able to replicate that feat yet although I did find her today sitting in one of her drawers :)

The other big news this week is that Sophie has learned her name and can count to four! Except she can't say the 'S' sound so she calls herself 'Woofie' :) We're sure that her great aunt Mamie, the speech therapist, will cure her of that this summer though!!

Love
Kate, Andrew and Woofie the cuddlebug
