Goodbye to Dublin!

Hi folks! We're back!

Sorry for the hiatus of updates, but we've had lots going on and big decisions to make. Make sure to scroll all the way down through each of the posts to all the pictures!

After much deliberation and weighing the pros and cons, we finally decided to say goodbye to Ireland and move back to the good ol’ U.S. of A. We all want to be closer to family and daddy has a chance to get his MPH at a great school! Sophie was in good form throughout the decision making process and took the final news lying down with her characteristic smile.

I tried to explain to her that we had to ship some of her toys, but she declared “I’m going where the toys go!”

Our talented girl also provided the soundtrack for packing - a pots and pans composition of “Little Drummer Girl.”

Daddy went above and beyond to cram as much stuff into each box as possible. In the end we had to send seven full boxes on the slow boat!

Before we left, we said goodbye to some of daddy’s work friends. Susan has watched Sophie grow up from the beginning and always had reassuring words during the early underweight/jaundice days. Kasim has his own little budle of joy due in a few months and enjoyed practicing with Sophie. Raphael always wore shiny ties that Sophie loved to play with :) He also spent Saturdays with us at the Temple Bar Market.
