Final packing, a long plane ride and a trip to Boston!
Hi again!

Even though we were busy getting ready for the big move, we always made time to read to Sophie. She did like quiet reading with daddy, but sometimes a girl just has to go wild with newspaper!
Daddy was post-call and VERY tired on Father’s Day, but Sophie put on her “I love dad!” shirt and we had a great family day!
Then the big day was finally upon us. Even though we shipped all those boxes, we still had 4 big, red duffle bags, carseat, stroller, carry-on’s and a Sophie Bear! What a pain it was to get everything in the taxi and then on to the check-in desk, but we made it. the best part was that we didn’t get charged for excess weight!
We were lucky enough to get the bulkhead seat on the long flight to Boston. Sophie was supposed to sleep in her little bassinett box, but she discovered that it was much easier to make friends facing backwards :)

Then she did her morning exercise.
And then she relaxed in a mountain of pillows while the rest of us got ready for a big day of apartment hunting.

After we finally found the perfect apartment (aside from basement laundry and no elevator in the building), mom, dad, Sophie and Honey had a chance to explore a bit of Boston! We walked through Boston Common and tried to show Sophie the Swan Boats, but she decided that a nap was more important :) We also went downtown and walked by daddy’s new school!
