Hi folks!Sophie had another big week with mom, dad, Uncle Daniel and her grandparents! For starters, she helped daddy celebrate his 29th birthday! She was very nice about it and studiously avoided any "old man" comments :) Kate cooked a fabulous dinner of shrimp bisque, Guinness bread, asparagus, beef tenderloin and a wonderful Bailey's cheesecake for dessert! What a feast!
Later in the week, Sophie had several very exciting outings. Mia and mommy taught her how to shop the after Christmas sales, and Papa gave her a golf lesson! See how much fun a little girl can with her grandparents?

Throughout the week, Sophie insisted on trying out her new outfits. Marian and Marty gave her the cute green outfit, and Mia helped remind her of her family with a Kentucky t-shirt!

On Friday, Sophie helped cheer on the Kentucky football team to victory over Clemson in the Music City Bowl! It was UK's first bowl win in 22 years, and now Sophie is officially considered a sports good luck charm :)
Before Uncle Daniel left, we had to ask him a very important question - "Wanna be a godfather?" It didn't take long for Sophie to convince him, and we're all very excited! So, the Albers have returned home to Kentucky and the Renda's are on their way over as we speak. Sophie's excited to see the other side of her family (and the presents they're sure to bring)! Another exciting week is about to start!
The three of us wish you all a happy New Year!
Love,
Andrew, Kate and Sophie Claire
