It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

Hello everyone!

Sorry it's been so long since the last post! We were home for Thanksgiving and had an incredibly busy week and then not much has been going on here in Boston to take pictures of. It's very cold and snowy/icy generally so most of our time is spent at the library (thank goodness for story hours and singalongs) or the mall (thank goodness for Christmas lights and big open spaces for Sophie to toddle around)

Sophie is doing amazing and is very excited to come home again to Louisville for Christmas. This past couple weeks she has learned four new words! She can say hat (ha-tuh), lights (yi-yi or sometimes yi-yi-tuh!), water (wa wa of course!), and - the big one - UP -PA. She is delighting in her new skill to be able to ask to get 'up-pa' to turn on the 'yi-yis' and to ask for her 'wa wa' at meal times. It's a pretty exciting time! She is walking everywhere (just about running!) and loves to play with her car and her puzzles. Most importantly, like her mama she loves to read. She has started to bring books to you and sit in your lap (or say 'up-pa' if you're sitting in a chair!). She wants to 'read' all the time and could read about 10 books in one sitting!

Sophie went to her first Christmas party yesterday and that's why she was wearing the pretty red jumper and shoes! She loves those red shoes and obviously thinks they are dancing shoes because I swear she started tap dancing as soon as I put them on her!!

Sophie mid tap dance!

She is just generally proud of herself these days as you can see!

Sophie playing with her truck -- I just liked this picture because you can see her big old molar :) This girl has some teeth!

Happy December everyone!

Love

She looks great! I can't wait to finally meet her (after stalking her for so long)! Hope we can see you over Christmas!
