Happy almost Halloween everyone! Here are the latest pictures of Sophie -- some of the last pictures taken before the big b-day! She has had a big October. A trip home to Louisville (of which we will post pictures later -- photos are still on Papa's camera!) where she celebrated her Papa's 60th birthday, watched Mama get a job offer for next summer, and played a lot with all four of her grandparents and even her cousin Luci (pics to come of those two as well)!
Sophie continues to amaze us every day. She is walking more steadily by the day (we are trying to figure out how to post videos from our regular camera because our camcorder is on the fritz so bear with us). On a good day she can walk across the family room -- mommy had her first experience of shopping with Sophie today with her able to stand on her own and walk holding mommy's hand. That was pretty cool. She still loves to play peek a boo and her latest favorite thing is to find you under the furniture :) She is learning some sign language and tries to sing along whenever you sing a song (usually saying yayaya or rahrahrah). She has learned to stand up from sitting down by getting into sort of a 'downward facing dog' position for all you yogis out there -- but then she sometimes forgets to stand up and just stays there to see what she can see upside down :) She is of course a joy and we are so excited to celebrate both her first Halloween and her first birthday next week!! Sophie is so glad that both sets of grandparents are coming to visit for her birthday. Happy Halloween!!

Hi Sophie!
I know I haven't written in a while but I still check the site to peek on you! You are getting to be such a big girl! Standing, walking ... soon you'll be running and jumping! But you might want to stick with the sweatsuits when you start doing that, as cute as your kilt is!
Enjoy Boston for us - it's gorgeous in the fall! Tell your mama and daddy to have a fresh Sam Adams Octoberfest for us!
