Sophie made the drive to Boston like a baby champ! With the help of a portable DVD player and LOTS of toys, she barely fussed at all even as we sat in bumper to bumper labor day traffic for most of New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts!! We'll get pictures of her new abode once we've gotten a little more settled but Sophie very much likes her first American residence! For now, here are a few pictures of Sophie enjoying her the new furniture and the nearby park!
Sophie is babbling up a storm and even has a few words! Mama, Dada, hi, bye bye, uh oh, car, and (strangely enough) red and yellow! (Okay she just repeats those last two when we say them but it's really funny!). She can also blow raspberries when you ask her to, do 'soooo big', and stick her tongue out big time. Between the raspberries and the tongue we are raising one elegant daughter! She's even starting to stand for a few seconds on her own and take a couple wild and wacky steps at a time. She also has a very enthusiastic wave that captures the heart of even the coolest Bostonians (including the stern librarians and the Dean of Admissions at Andrew's school!). Sophie started swim classes today which she loved. We're getting settled and are really excited! Enjoy the photos!
PS There is another new post after this one -- enjoy!

Sophie striking a pose in a 'Mamie' outfit that she's been waiting to grow into since Christmas!!
One thing hasn't changed in Boston -- Sophie still likes to eat!! Unfortunately however she is actually becoming picky and refuses to eat anything cold :) But, mealtimes are still fun because she thinks 'sooooo big' is a mealtime game!! Here's a one armed effort!
Sophie being introduced to the swings at our new park -- it's no Seneca but it will have to do for now!

She warmed up to the swings quickly!
