Fun things!

A belated Happy Thanksgiving everyone!! We had a great holiday and are already looking forward to Christmas and New Years and more four day weekends!! Woohoo! Sophie is fantastic - Andrew and I think three years old is just the most adorable age. She says the funniest things and it is so fun to be able to have an entire logical conversation with her now - well, usually logical. Her imagination is amazing and she just astounds us every day!! In other big news, Sophie made the transition to a big girl bed about two weeks ago without a hitch. We are waiting for her to figure out that she can actually get out of it when she wakes up - so far she still calls for us :) Sophie is very excited for Christmas and knows exactly what she wants Santa to bring her (a bouncer for the backyard) - we're just working on convincing her that she has to behave to get it :)

Last weekend we made a trip up to Cincinnati for an extended 'family' event! Uncle Todd and Aunt Nikke's son Travis was baptized! Mommy and Daddy were honored to serve as godparents and we had a fun visit with Travis, who we can't believe is almost a year old! Sophie and Travis are interacting more now with Travis being a bit older, which makes their dad's happy because they have an arranged marriage between these two in their heads :)

Sophie is getting hard to photograph these days (she likes to make funny faces and act strange when a camera is around) but I just had to include this one so you could see her pretty jumper and how tall she is getting! This latest growth spurt is really starting to alarm me - I never knew a child could grow so fast! I hope she has some clothes left to wear by Christmas :)

Love,

Kate, Andrew and Sophie
