Mommy and Daddy are so proud of their one year old!! We all had a great weekend. Mia and Papa arrived on Thursday night and Friday (the actual birthday) we spent sightseeing in downtown Boston. Sophie was a trouper and enjoyed her lunch at Houstons (the Vandy girls will appreciate that!)
On Friday night, Honey and Grandpa Bill arrived and the fun continued! On Saturday, Sophie got to play with ALL FOUR of her grandparents until her party that afternoon. As you can see, she was pretty amazed by her birthday cake and particularly the candle :) She wasn't too interested in touching it, although we finally got her to eat some of the icing flower -- I guess she doesn't like to be TOO messy. On Sunday, all six of the adults followed Sophie to the park and we were quite a spectacle. Sophie was so happy to have all of her grandparents here to celebrate her birthday!
Today we took Sophie for her one year check up and the doctor declared a thriving TODDLER -- 22 lbs 9 oz and nearly 31 inches long! These shrimps of parents produced a one year old in the 75th percentile for weight and 93rd for height!!! Unfortunately Sophie was pretty upset by her shots (moreso than any of her past ones) and that kind of upset Mommy. But Sophie was smiley again by the end of the day so hopefully that's it for the vaccine reactions!!
