Week 36 + 3 - A Little Excitement in an Otherwise Normal Pregnancy :)

Hi everyone!

We had a little excitement here this week. Kate had an appointment with her GP on Thursday afternoon. Her blood pressure was a little high, so she was sent in to the hospital for assessment. Once in hospital, a few of her lab results were a bit off as well. Signs seem to be pointing towards a mild case of pre-eclampsia. So, it looks like she's stuck in the hospital until the little one decides to appear.

The good news is that Kate's feeling fine. And, baby has a strong heartbeat and is kicking away! Friday's ultrasound estimated his/her weight at 6 and a half pounds already!

Kate's getting steroid injections to help baby's lungs finish developing just in case she has to be induced. She's a trooper, though, taking all the injections, scans and blood tests in stride!

We'll keep you posted with any news! Say prayers for Kate and baby!

Love,
Andrew, Kate and the "Little Trouble Maker"

Many many MANY positive thoughts and prayers for the three of you! Sounds like baby is doing awesome, but is ready to meet Mommy and Daddy!
